The headquarters of the SE European Bird Migration Network (SEEN) is the University of Gdańsk Bird Migration Research Station (BMRS) in Przebendowo, a small village in northern Poland. The SEEN headquarters, BMRS and editorial office of the journal
„The Ring” are located in a XIX century manor house surrounded by an old park (Fig. 1). BMRS is the permanent base for three Polish field ringing stations:
Bukowo-Kopań,
Mierzeja Wiślana and
Hel. The headquarters also has a library of journals, books and publications focused on bird migration, and a central data base of birds ringed by SEEN member stations. Several MSc and PhD theses are prepared at this institution. We also hold ornithological and statistical seminars here, as well as individual and group training sessions for SEEN members.
